    About the role

    Our base teams are instrumental in delivering our amazing holidays and are why many of our customers return year on year. Our cleaning team ensure that the interior of our fleet is kept clean and hygienic, and the Head Cleaner plays a vital part in leading the cleaning team ensuring our customers have an excellent first impression when they board their boat! This is an extremely fast paced role that requires a talented leader who is dedicated and methodical in their approach along with strong attention to detail and organisational skills. 

    What you will be doing

    • Lead the cleaning team who are responsible for the interior cleaning & sanitizing of our fleet as per our company standards ensuring our customers have an excellent first impression when they board their boat.
    • Plan the workload and supervise the team of cleaners (including seasonal workers and trainees) 
    • Manage the linen store and cleaning product stocks ensuring they are organised and kept replenished.
    • Manage and monitor stock levels, identify requirements and place orders for products,
    • Checking the quality of the linen returned according to the company's quality charter, hygiene and safety standards 
    • Check the contents of the laundry trolley and replenish it when necessary.
    • Send dirty linen to the laundry service and check the condition of the linen on its return. 
    • Provisioning the boats with necessary supplies prior to the customer’s departure.
    • Supporting in the pre and post season preparation tasks essential for getting our boats ready for customers and winter maintenance.
    • Provide feedback via the relevant channel of any defects or issues noticed onboard our fleet.
    • Carry out tasks within the allocated time and communicate to your line manager any problems identified during operations. 

    What we are looking for:

    • Ability to manage a team, demonstrate leadership confidence and lead by example.
    • A drive to play a part in the achievement of base and company objectives. 
    • Have an extremely high standard of cleaning and hygiene.
    • Demonstrate an ability to understand and adhere to health and safety processes and policies.
    • Have a methodical and meticulous approach to work, in particular to managing stock, linen and team workload.
    • Excellent attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Highly organised and responsive to competing demands.
    • Able to communicate information to colleagues in a clear and timely manner.
    • Work effectively both within a team and have the initiative to work independently.
    • Comfortable working in small spaces.
    • Able to work a flexible week (weekends and holidays
