    Summary

At Sunsail we strive to deliver the very best sailing holidays, giving customers amazing experiences on the water!

We share our customer's passion for sailing and have built a reputation for unparalleled on-water holidays, customer service and reliability that ensures guests return time after time. Sailing adventures specifically tailored to every customer, be it an adult group or family vacation, from flotilla charters or courses at our sailing schools, we design the perfect experience they'll never forget. We have something to suit everybody regardless of experience level or vessel preference.

Our sailing schools give our customers the opportunity to take a qualification home with them, from RYA Start Yachting to RYA Day Skipper. Our fantastic cruising instructors provide a quality experience individually tailored to each student’s requirements and learning style. Living on board with the customers, our instructors and bareboat skippers are required to plan and adapt the charters itinerary dependent on each customer’s preferences, weather forecasts, and perhaps even any secret hidden local gems.

Sunsail is recruiting cruising instructors and bareboat skippers based in Croatia to work in the Adriatic for the Summer. Full-season roles are available, and following successful summer placements, winter opportunities may be available.

Working hours vary and you MUST be able to cover operational requirements. It is important to be flexible within your job role and understand that you may be required to move between different resorts or departments according to operational needs, as well as happy to cover a flotilla or bareboat skipper role at times.

    • The successful and safe skippering of the monohull/catamaran throughout the customer’s holiday when working as bareboat skipper, depending on the operational needs.
    • Ensuring the safety of all guests throughout the charter.
    • Meeting and greeting guests and conducting a welcome brief on board.
    • Carry out basic yacht maintenance when needed during charter
    • Liaise with the Chief Instructor and fault report any maintenance problems or damage to the yachts to the base at the earliest possibility
    • Be responsible for the standard of the assigned yachts throughout the season, including cleaning, inventory monitoring, and maintenance where required
    • Ensure correct paperwork is completed as per local laws and regulations
    • Provide excellent customer service at all times
    • Any other duties within your ability as requested by your line or base manager
