We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Yacht Club Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hospitality services within The Moorings Tortola flagship base. You will be responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the two on-site restaurants, a 35-room hotel, as well as Market supply process, including retail.
This key leadership role ensures a seamless, high-end experience for our guests and crew while driving operational efficiency, profitability, and brand excellence.
What you will be doing:
Customer Service
Work with staff are role modelling our five-star customer service framework throughout all customer interactions
Ensure feedback scores, NPS, and service targets are being met.
Collaborate with the team to address customer feedback reports, to improve the quality of our products and promote a culture of excellence throughout the region.
Leadership
Lead by example through hands-on management and motivation of your team to operate the yacht club effectively
Organization of the day to day scheduling of staff and operations
Work with the People Team to ensure training & development plans are in place for the team to ensure high levels of customer service are achieved through continuous performance management and training
Ensure clear procedures & standards are set out for staff, including Health & Safety and Hygiene standards – ensure these meet local health, hygiene and safety protocol
Communicate and enforce company safety standards and operating practices at all times
Conduct staff reviews, appraisals and any disciplinary or grievance matters, with the support of the People Team
Establish, develop, and maintain professional working relationships with all department managers, local staff and external suppliers
Coordinate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders
Lead to ensure the Yacht Club follows and supports the company sustainability directive
Commercial
Review the customer journey across the property to maximize experience and encourage repeat guests
Responsible for successful events, including marketing, pricing, and delivery to proactively increase local yacht club revenue
Keep up to date with the trends of the hospitality industry to propose new initiatives that will improve the competitive advantage of the yacht club to maximize occupancy and service levels.
Support the implementation of any technology solutions in the yacht club
Financial
Partner with Finance Business Partner
Overall responsibility for managing the yacht club P&L, including the capex budget.
Accurate and timely financial reporting, management of margin to maximize commercial success, and working closely with the Finance Business Partner and Procurement to control costs and promote efficiencies.
Monitor and analyze the activity/booking levels of the hotel, and work with the yield team to recommend price flexing to meet demand as necessary. Identity and implement structured KPI reporting to ensure the hotel is operating successfully
Ensure good working capital management including, timely collection of yacht club related receivables and stock management.
Retail, Market and Stores
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service across all areas.
Oversee the presentation, merchandising, and sales of produce including the Deli, gourmet foods, beverages, and alcohol in the marina’s market.
Supervise & train a team to deliver exceptional customer service to charter guests, crew, and marina visitors.
Monitor guest trends working with procurement to adjust product selection and merchandising accordingly.
Manage the fulfilment of online pre-provisioning orders for charter yachts and vessels.
Organize in-house departmental transfers of food, beverage, and supplies.
Maintain accurate logs and cost tracking for all internal transactions. Ensure all operations adhere to health, safety, and alcohol licensing regulations.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent professional experience.
Knowledge of dietary preferences and high-end provisioning standards for luxury clientele.
Familiarity with current food and beverage trends, including organic, local, and specialty products.
Proven expertise in the hospitality industry, with strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
Proven ability to supervise, lead, and motivate teams to achieve high levels of performance and service delivery.
Demonstrated leadership with a hands-on, proactive management style.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong guest-first mindset.
Strong team player, capable of working collaboratively across multiple departments.
Experience working within a premium or luxury hospitality setting.
Proficient with modern digital platforms, point-of-sale systems, and operational software.
Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on business needs.
