The Role
Overall purpose of the role: Note, someone from an events planning background with travel experience would do well in this position.
This Product Manager role owns a portfolio of global destinations, ensuring smooth trip execution, pricing, new product development, and meticulous documentation. The main responsibilities include:
Sustainability: Implement sustainability practices in trip design & delivery, partner with community initiatives.
Customer Feedback: Use feedback to improve trips & information provided.
Team Knowledge Source: Provide destination & itinerary expertise to various teams (sales, school support, operations).
Operations Duty: Support travelling teams during peak season via shift work in operations centre (2 weeks/year).
Key skills:
Proficient in cross-cultural liaison and adept at collaboration within a global network.
High level of digital literacy and confidence using different systems and applications
Excellent attention to detail, including strong written communication skills and competency dealing with pricing and cost calculations
Good verbal communication and confidence to provide training and briefings to leaders, partners and colleagues
Highly organised and adept at time management, thriving in dynamic environments while effectively prioritising multiple priorities.
Strong team member, collaborating with departments across the business to achieve the best outcomes for the customer. Be dynamic, willing to assist with a range of tasks and projects as required
Have an interest in adventurous travel and/or experience working in the travel industry or travelling overseas
