This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding Le Boat team in Vinkeveen, where you will play a key role in supporting the Base Manager with specific responsibilities for managing all Customer Facing functions, Base Standards, Reception and Base Administration.
We are seeking a strong, enthusiastic, flexible and experienced person who is passionate about boating and is able to lead and implement change. Your management skills and ability will be well suited to working independently and on your own initiative.
Main Duties
Manage the office, admin and reception functions including line management of reception staff.
Process and administer
Phone/email/walk in enquiries throughout the year.
Customer complaints and 3rd party claims
Supplier orders, invoices and payments
Stock management – keeping accurate records and making adjustments, as required.
Annual paperwork required for the fleet with regards to licenses, health and safety compliance.
Staff planning for reception and prepare payroll for Manager sign off.
Welcome customers on arrival and ensure service and information provided at check in/out and throughout the holiday is best in class.
Drive performance and achieve CSQ and sales targets within reception team.
Keep accurate records and facilitate enquiries from internal departments e.g. finance, customer relations etc
Account for all monies utilising company systems and in accordance with company procedures.
Ensure boat briefings and customer training is conducted in a timely fashion
Ensure the reception team support customers throughout their cruise in terms of organising technical assistance and general tourist/boater information and advice.
Support the Base Manager with recruitment of all seasonal staff – advertising, screening CVs.
Support the Base Manager with organising and preparing for VIP/Staff bookings.
Develop, monitor and improve upon local operating procedures and policies.
Ensure adequate staffing levels are in place to cover reception requirements.
Any additional duties at the discretion of the business and the Base Manager.
Skills Required
Ambitious, enthusiastic with strong Management skills and experience.
An exceptional organiser, strong administrator with meticulous attention to detail.
Good people manager
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build internal/external relationships.
Commercial mind-set with a track record of successfully delivering of targets
Excellent PC skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook with knowledge of POS and reservation systems.
Able to work with deadlines, targets and objectives
Able to work independently and on own initiative
Previous experience in the tourism industry/customer service would be advantageous
Driving license
Dutch speaking with English Language, additional languages would be advantageous German/French
Lives at commutable distance from Vinkeveen, able to attend occasionally at our other base in HIndeloopen
Ideally driving license holder
Fully eligible to work in the Netherlands
