    The secret to our success within the yacht industry lies in our exceptional teams, we are united by the same purpose, to have fun while creating extraordinary experiences on the water!

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Clean exteriors of yachts and engine rooms pre-charter.  Ensure that no oil spills in engine room are pumped out into marina.  Automatic bilge pumps must be off in such cases.  No sewerage spills may be pumped into marina.
    • Clean hulls and scrub fenders.
    • Assist guests with moving luggage on and off yachts.
    • Bag ice and keep ice freezer filled.
    • Ensure that ice chest is on board and filled with ice prior to charter guests boarding.
    • Ensure that water tanks are full prior to boarding by guests.  Check water tanks on yachts which have evening starts are topped up the following morning prior to leaving the dock.
    • Keep dock neat and tidy at all times by regularly disposing of garbage and keeping lines neatly coiled.
    • Ensure that all hatches on yachts are properly closed before scrubbing decks.
    • Check workshop list and supply kayak and/or SUP  to those yachts requiring same.  Ensure that kayak seats are in good repair and SUP’s are not damaged; check skeg for SUP is properly secure.  Ensure that paddles are placed on board yacht for water toys.
    • Clean and prep dinghies for charters.  Ensure dingheis are equipped with dinghy anchor, paddles and other safety gear as prescribed.
    • Ensure outboard fuel tank is correctly filled and placed in dinghy.
    • Ensure BBQ grills are always clean and correctly installed on yacht.
    • Ensure propane/butane tanks are filled prior to charter, and notify front desk when tank needs topping up.
    • Ensure that tool kits are correctly equipped and placed on board prior to charter.
    • Ensure that deck broom is stowed on board.
    • Assist with line handling for docking and undocking yachts.
    • Pest control – fumigate yachts for cockroaches; set traps for rodents.
    • Clean workshop toilet and shower facility on rotation basis with other staff.
    • Notify manager or technical manager if you notice any new fiberglass damage on yachts when cleaning.

    ADDITIONAL TASKS:

    During quiet periods yacht hulls and stainless steel work to be polished.  You will also at times be required to assist in cleaning up workshop area.

    You may be required to accompany a technician on a chase call on occasion.

    Any other additional task which may be assigned to you from time to time by managers.

    You may be required to assist with gardening projects from time to time.

    GENERAL

    You are required to arrive at work on time and may be requested to work after hours during busy periods.  You are required to keep an accurate time sheet of hours worked.  Uniform must be worn at all times and must be clean and tidy.  A courteous and respectful attitude must be maintained towards all clients and co-workers.  You are expected to comply with company policies at all times.
