Fleet Recovery Technician

We are currently recruiting a base technician to work in the Nassau. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to operational requirements. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position.
What you will be doing
- Maintenance and repairs to all yachts and yacht equipment
- Proactive and preventative daily maintenance, checks and repairs
- Joinery and Structural subfloor repairs, window replacement, general cosmetic repairs (Spray & tip and roll application)
- Deck fittings and hardware removal and installation
- Fiberglass laminating, Fill and Fairing, Gel coat finishing and colour matching, Gelcoat fine finish polishing
- Completing turnaround service checks, yacht preparation and deck washing
- Ensuring the safety of all clients and fellow workers
- Assisting clients with queries and problems
- Assisting with the general running of the base
- Any other duties as directed by your line manager
What we are looking for
- Experience boat building and yacht structural repairs
- Experience of joinery and general construction
- Experience of fiberglass materials, agents and composites and the application of structural material
- Knowledge on gelcoat application and finishing
- Practically minded with an ability to solve problems
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Experience in an end user customer focused environment
- Sociable and positive personality
- A strong team player
