We are looking for a detail‑driven, technically strong Yacht Sales Accountant to support our global yacht sales operations. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner (Yacht Sales), you will play a key role in financial reporting, month‑end activities, SAP project accounting, and commercial analysis.

This position is ideal for a proactive, analytical finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment and is comfortable partnering with global teams, including colleagues in the UK.

At Sunsail and The Moorings, we create unforgettable sailing experiences around the world. With a passion for adventure and excellence, we deliver world‑class yacht holidays that keep our customers returning year after year. Join a global team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    What We Offer:

    • Hybrid working model
    • Competitive base salary
    • Medical Aid cover
    • 21 days annual leave
    • Public Holidays
    • A day off for your birthday
    • Social and team‑building events
    • Opportunity to grow within a dynamic, global organisation

    What You’ll Do:

    • Manage end‑to‑end yacht sales accounting, including month‑end close (journals, accruals, prepayments, GL entries, balance sheet reconciliations) and financial reporting
    • Prepare management accounts, variance analysis, KPI reporting, and support consolidation, audit, and compliance activities
    • Lead SAP New Boat and Warranty Project Accounting and manage SAP sales orders to ensure accuracy and alignment with commercial terms
    • Track and reconcile deposits, commissions, warranties, and project costs; handle multi‑entity and multi‑currency allocations
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, weekly cash‑flow planning, and provide commercial financial insights
    • Enhance reporting using advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, modelling) and drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
    • Build strong cross‑functional relationships and communicate financial insights clearly to finance and non‑finance stakeholders across global teams including the UK

    What You’ll Bring:

    • ACCA‑qualified (or equivalent) with solid technical accounting experience
    • Strong background in financial accounting, month‑end close, and balance sheet reconciliations
    • SAP expertise is essential—particularly Project Accounting; experience creating and maintaining sales orders is beneficial
    • Experience with transactional processing in SAP (GL, accruals, payments)
    • Confident working with multi‑entity and multi‑currency accounting
    • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling)
    • Strong analytical capability with clear, structured communication skills
    • Proven experience supporting audit activities and operational finance processes
    • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines
    • A proactive, improvement‑oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels
    • Based in the Cape Town office with a hybrid schedule requiring at least 3 in‑office days per week, with flexibility to collaborate with UK‑based teams and support occasional non‑standard hours.
