    We’re hiring an Assistant Controller to lead general accounting and payroll. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a growing, global environment and is passionate about travel, developing talent, and driving results.

    The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of leading accounting teams in dynamic, global environments, and a drive for continuous improvement. They will demonstrate expertise in financial oversight, process excellence, and strategic analysis, leveraging advanced tools and analytics to deliver actionable insights and results.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Lead & Develop Teams: Manage, mentor, and coach two senior accountants. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture. Champion professional growth and continuous learning.
    • Financial Oversight: Own the month-end close and bi-weekly payroll processes. Review and recommend improvements to journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and internal controls. Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal policies.
    • Process Excellence: Drive month-end and year-end close to meet corporate timeline and financial reporting deadlines. Identify and implement process improvements.
    • Audit: Own interim and year-end audit process, prepare documentation, and coordinate with internal team and external auditors.
    • Global Focus: Facilitate cohesion in global team, accurate foreign currency accounting and reporting for global operations.
    • AI & Analytics: Leverage AI tools and analytics to drive efficiency.  
    • Strategic Analysis: Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for business improvement.

    What You’ll Bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
    • Extensive progressive accounting experience, including audit and global company/team exposure.
    • Experience in small to medium-sized, fast-growing organizations.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and foreign currency transactions.
    • Very detail oriented while still able to see the big picture.
    • Comfortable operating in a changing environment and with some ambiguity.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
    • Experience with AI and/or due diligence is a plus.
