Summary
We are currently recruiting a Base Technician to work in Lefkada, Greece. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to operational requirements. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position.
What you will be doing:
- Completing turnaround service checks and yacht preparation
- Briefing of clients on yacht mechanical systems and safety equipment
- Maintenance and repairs to all yachts and yacht equipment– including mechanical, electrical and plumbing, as well as outboard engines
- Proactive and preventative daily maintenance, including checks and repairs
- Engine servicing such as oil and filter checks/changes
- Emergency call outs for breakdowns
- Competent movement of yachts between anchor and the dock, and refuelling
- Ensuring the safety of all clients
- Assisting clients with queries and problems
- Assisting with the general running of the base and customer service support
- Any other duties as advised by your Line Manager
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience maintaining diesel engines and 2 & 4 stroke outboard engines
- Thorough understanding of 12V DC electrical systems and yacht plumbing systems
- Practically minded with an ability to solve problems
- Comfortable prioritising and staying on track with tight time constraints
- Experience interacting with guests
- Sociable and positive personality
- A strong team mate
- Yacht sailing experience is desirable
- Well organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks
- A flexible working approach, able to meet operational demands in terms of duties and working hour.
