    The secret to our success within the yacht industry lies in our outstanding teams, we are united by the same purpose, to have fun while crafting outstanding experiences on the water.

    What you will be doing:

    • Maintain detailed records of inventory quantities and stock movements, providing routine updates to the supervisor on any modifications.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods, following clear instructions and guidance from the base manager.
    • Offer insights to the base manager regarding any obstacles or suggestions for improvement in managing inventory or sourcing.
    • Engage in problem-solving discussions with the base manager to identify solutions for any issues related to inventory or procurement.
    • Handle inventory management efficiently, including conducting regular stocktakes, balancing discrepancies, and optimizing storage space.
    • Adhere to maritime safety regulations and procedures while handling inventory and purchasing supplies, ensuring a safe working environment. Vigilantly identify and report any potential safety hazards or concerns.
    • Strictly adhere to company SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) related to health and safety protocols. Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and regulations to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment.
    • Coordinate with the Tech Manager for regular parts ordering, ensuring all orders are approved by the base manager before procurement.
    • Collaborate with customer service regarding upcoming bookings and arrival times to anticipate supply needs and ensure timely procurement of vital parts.
    • Maintain regular communication with the base manager to stay informed about any product changes, new yacht types, or other relevant updates that may impact inventory management or procurement processes.
    • Participate in training opportunities to improve skills and knowledge related to inventory management and procurement processes.
    • Establish clear communication channels for emergency situations, ensuring swift and effective responses to any unforeseen circumstances.
    • Update Sail sense with any specially requested parts as a Task, along with a photo of the part if possible.

    The ideal candidate will have the following:

    • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the maritime or hospitality industry, demonstrating effective communication and negotiation skills.
    • Previous experience within the charter industry and delivery of boat briefings is preferred but not crucial
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle inventory management and procurement tasks efficiently.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, crucial for maintaining accurate records and inspecting delivered goods.
    • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office suite to facilitate inventory tracking and reporting.
    • Knowledge of maritime safety regulations and procedures is a plus, ensuring compliance with safety protocols for relevant safety equipment such as liferafts/fire extinguishers and first aid kits.
