    Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Captain to oversee the safe and efficient transfer of sailing and power catamarans within The Bahamas. This role also includes providing technical support as needed.

    This position requires strong seamanship, technical knowledge and flexibility in working hours and travel, with the ability to adapt to varying schedules and operational demands across multiple bases. This role will be primarily based in Nassau when not engaged in deliveries.

    What you will be doing:

    • Support with boat movement within Bahamas and may extend to our network of other bases, as required.
    • Conduct routine and technical inspections whilst under passage, reporting issues and maintaining accurate logs through digital tracking programs.
    • Clearly communicate passage plans and delivery updates directly to your Line Manager for each transfer.
    • Ensure all yachts are properly secured and left in good condition after each transfer passage delivery.
    • Assist with sea trials and vessel readiness assessments.
    • Captain the service boat and assist the technical team to complete service calls as necessary.
    • Ensure operational readiness of the service boat vessel through routine maintenance, maintain accurate logs through digital tracking programs, and report any issues to the technical lead.
    • Safely pilot, navigate, anchor, and operate yachts in adherence to high safety standards.
    • Assist guests with the safe manoeuvring of yachts in and out of marinas, including channel navigation and secure docking.
    • When not assigned piloting duties, support base technical operations.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by your Line Manager.

    The ideal candidate will have the following:

    • Bahamas A Class Captain's License.
    • Valid STCW and medical check (ENG1 or equivalent).
    • Previous experience as a Captain on similarly sized yachts is required, including a proven ability to operate vessels safely and assist guests during marina arrivals and departures.
    • Technical experience with yachts of similar size and systems, including routine and preventative maintenance. Experience with Leopard catamarans and center consoles with outboard motors is an advantage.
    • Demonstrated willingness to learn from the technical team and complete relevant training as needed.
    • Able to swim and competent in the water.
    • Strong awareness of safety protocols when responsible for guests, crew, and vessel.
    • Professional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with guests, when required.
    • Digitally literate and proficiency in using online fleet maintenance systems.
    • Flexible and can-do attitude.
