Summary

We are currently recruiting a Base Technician to work in Lefkada, Greece. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to operational requirements. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position.

What you will be doing:

• Completing turnaround service checks and yacht preparation
• Briefing of clients on yacht mechanical systems and safety equipment
• Maintenance and repairs to all yachts and yacht equipment– including mechanical, electrical and plumbing, as well as outboard engines
• Proactive and preventative daily maintenance, including checks and repairs
• Engine servicing such as oil and filter checks/changes
• Emergency call outs for breakdowns
• Competent movement of yachts between anchor and the dock, and refuelling
• Ensuring the safety of all clients
• Assisting clients with queries and problems
• Assisting with the general running of the base and customer service support
• Any other duties as advised by your Line Manager

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Experience maintaining diesel engines and 2 & 4 stroke outboard engines
• Thorough understanding of 12V DC electrical systems and yacht plumbing systems
• Practically minded with an ability to solve problems
• Comfortable prioritising and staying on track with tight time constraints
• Experience interacting with guests
• Sociable and positive personality
• A strong team mate
• Yacht sailing experience is desirable
• Well organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks
• A flexible working approach, able to meet operational demands in terms of duties and working hour.
