    We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Assistant to join our Cape Town team, playing a key role in supporting smooth operations and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

    The Role

    As an Inventory Assistant, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting procurement processes, and ensuring that our travel products and resources are efficiently tracked and available. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will contribute directly to optimising our supply chain and enhancing customer satisfaction.

    What you’ll do:

    • Maintain and update inventory records accurately using the company’s ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and inventory management software.
    • Assist with the receipt, storage, and distribution of travel-related products, ensuring proper documentation and stock accuracy.
    • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies promptly to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Collaborate closely with procurement and logistics teams to forecast inventory needs and support timely replenishment.
    • Support the coordination of supplier deliveries and manage stock movements within the warehouse or office environment.
    • Prepare reports on inventory status, trends, and potential issues for management review.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding inventory control and data integrity.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline inventory processes and enhance operational efficiency.

    What you’ll bring:

    • Previous experience in inventory management, administration, or a related role within the Travel & Tourism sector or similar industries.
    • Good working experience of Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management abilities.
    • Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple teams in the global environment.
    • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
    • Basic understanding of supply chain and procurement processes is desirable.
