The Yacht Commissioning Agent plays a key operational role throughout the year, with responsibilities divided into two main areas:
After Sales and commissioning for new Leopard Catamarans, in accordance with brand standards and manufacturer/OEM warranty requirements.
This activity is primarily based in our Saint‑Raphaël (83) office.
Operation – Reception and management of new catamarans arriving by Cargo ships from the Robertson & Caine (R&C) shipyards, for the brands The Moorings, Sunsail, and Leopard Catamarans.
The Yacht Commissioning Agent is responsible for the safety, storage, and full preparation of the yachts prior to their onward delivery to Leopard sales locations or charter bases in Europe.
This role will be primarily based near Fos‑sur‑Mer (13), France, with occasional European travel.
This is a hands‑on, highly operational role requiring strong organization, autonomy, and occasional irregular working hours. Accurate and consistent digital documentation is essential.
Responsibilities
1. Service & Aftersales
Work with the team to receive and prepare new yachts for delivery using the SailSense platform: full walkthroughs, system checks, and ensuring an impeccable handover experience.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor repairs during the commissioning and warranty phases.
Participate in yacht acceptance, commissioning procedures, and sea trials.
Act as the liaison between owners and the factory:
prepare, file, and track warranty claims n our warranty claim platform
cordinate with the shipyard to resolve issues,
btain quotes, organize repairs, verify completion, and process vendor invoices.
2. Operations
Oversee temporary storage of yachts after offloading.
Secure and adjust yachts according to weather conditions.
Ensure safe and controlled access to the vessels.
Conduct comprehensive checks of all yacht systems.
Maintain battery charge levels and ensure yachts remain clean
Verify that safety equipment and charter inventory are onboard prior to delivery.
Document and photograph any deficiencies using internal digital systems.
Ensure yachts are clean, surface‑prepared, and fully operational before sea delivery
3. General
Strictly adhere to all health and safety standards and report any issues immediately.
Complete all required risk assessments accurately and on time.
Use computer tools effectively (Word, Excel, Outlook, internal platforms).
Maintain a friendly, professional, and collaborative attitude with colleagues, customers, and partners.
Minimum Qualifications
Fluent in French and English (mandatory).
Strong technical knowledge of boat systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
3 to 5 years of experience in the yachting industry.
Customer‑focused mindset with a drive to exceed expectations.
Valid driver’s license.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong work ethic, autonomy, and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and positive during high‑activity periods.
Availability for 6 to 7 weeks of travel per year (France & international) for after‑sales interventions, yacht operations, and boat shows.
Preferred Qualifications
Capitaine 200, RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, or equivalent certification.
