Summary:

We are currently recruiting a Marine Technician to work in the Saint Martin. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to operational requirements. Please note that this is a full-time, permanent position.

What you will be doing:

• Completing turnaround service checks, yacht preparation and deck washing.
• Briefing of clients on yachts mechanical systems and safety equipment.
• Maintenance and repairs to all yachts and yacht equipment/technology.
• Proactive and preventative daily maintenance, checks and repairs.
• Engine servicing such as oil and filter checks/changes.
• Maintenance of outboards for tenders.
• Emergency call outs for breakdowns on any of the fleet.
• Ensuring the safety of all clients including safety briefings.
• Assisting clients with queries and problems.
• Assisting with the general running of the base.
• Any other duties as advised by your Line Manager.

What we are looking for:

• Experience maintaining diesel engines and 2 & 4 stroke outboard engines.
• Strong understanding of 12V DC electrical systems and yacht plumbing systems.
• Practically minded with an ability to solve problems.
• Comfortable prioritising and staying on track with tight deadlines.
• Experience in a customer focused environment.
• Sociable and positive personality.
• A strong great teammate.
• Yacht sailing experience is desirable but not essential.
